**Key Responsibilities**:- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with autism and communication/language difficulties- Assist in developing and implementing individualised learning plans and interventions- Support pupils in making progress in communication, social skills, and academic learning- Use alternative communication methods such as AAC, Makaton, and PECS to help non-verbal pupils express themselves- Collaborate with class teachers, speech and language therapists,



and other professionals to create a positive learning environment- Provide personal care and support as needed, ensuring pupils health, safety, and well-being- Encourage social skill development, independence, and confidence, promoting an inclusive environment- Experience working with children with autism or communication/language difficulties, ideally in a school or specialist setting- Understanding of non-verbal communication and experience using Makaton, PECS, or AAC- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for working with children with complex needs- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with professionals- Positive, proactive attitude and adaptable to the individual needs of each pupil- Background in education, child development, or a related field is desirable, though training and support will be provided**Why Join Us?
