- We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design and development of Medium Voltage Switchgear products such as GM-SG and SIMOVAC Motor Controllers.In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior engineers, mentors,
and cross-functional teams to bring innovative designs from concept to completion.You'll gain hands-on experience supporting a custom design-to-order (DTO) business, delivering tailored solutions that meet unique customer requirements while ensuring manufacturability and product excellence.Essential Job Functions- Design and Development: Work under the guidance of senior engineers to design parts and assemblies — taking projects from concept to completed 3D models that meet customer and manufacturing requirements.
- Customer-Focused Engineering: Contribute to custom projects designed to meet unique customer needs, learning how to balance creativity, technical precision, and manufacturability.
- Mechanical Documentation: Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), develop new assemblies, validate functionality, and assist in releasing parts and assemblies to production.
- Collaboration with Manufacturing: Partner with factory teams to understand how your designs are built and help solve real-world production challenges.
- Product and Process Improvement: Support initiatives to enhance existing designs and engineering processes by providing feedback and helping to implement improvements.
- Learning and Mentorship: Actively engage in mentoring sessions and team reviews to build your technical and professional skills while learning best practices in mechanical design and manufacturing.Job Requirements- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 0-3 years of experience in a technical or engineering role.
- Hands-on experience (through internships, projects, or co-ops) in a manufacturing or design environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling tools NX software, Teamcenter or similar.
- Basic proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Exposure to SAP or other ERP/MRP systems preferred.
- Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and basic mechanical design principles.
