OverviewAt Jabil (NYSE: JBL), we are a trusted partner for the world 's top brands, offering engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing solutions.With 60 years of experience across industries and a network of over 100 sites worldwide, Jabil combines integral reach with local expertise to deliver scalable and customized solutions.We are committed to sustainable processes that minimize environmental impact and to fostering diverse communities globally.ResponsibilitiesDetermines appropriate inspection processes and directs IQC personnel, where applicable, in day-to-day activities.Leads containment and resolution of supplier quality issues with manufacturers and communicates status on non-conforming parts/suppliers across programs.Evaluates supplier performance, drives supplier improvements and corrective actions through the SCAR process.Defines, develops, and implements supply base strategies that drive improvements in supplier selection, development, and leverage across customer programs for quality improvements and cost savings.Provides regular updates to Quality Engineering Manager on the execution of the strategy.Supports NPI activities by participation in the AQP process as required.Ensures that production critical supplier issues are resolved in a timely manner and corrective actions are implemented.Defines and develops appropriate inspection plans and inspection methods; directs receiving inspection auditors.Develops inspection processes via inspection aids and instruction guidelines; ensures ongoing site supplier evaluation using site information from Receiving Inspection, MRB, Customer Returns, SCAR database,



and liaison efforts with customer work cells.Monitors and drives PPM issues with the supply base and supports achieving "Dock to Stock" certification with Jabil (per vendor performance system).
Reviews supplier discrepancies; coordinates and tracks corrective/preventive actions.Proactively communicates information or issues that may impact product costs or manufacturability to affected departments.Provides insight and support for Process Improvement and Optimization with a focus on proactive methodologies with the supply base.Leads SCAR – Supplier Corrective/Preventive Action process for problem resolution and continuous improvement, including analysis of supplier DOE, CPK, and Gauge R&R; studies.Adheres to safety and health rules and regulations and follows company security procedures.May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsKnowledge requirements: Strong electro/mechanical background; knowledge of plastic injection molding and tooling, metal stampings and tooling, metal fabrication, machining, various electrical components, connectors, PCB & PCBA, cable assembly, and full assembly integration.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings; Six Sigma training desired.Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project; understanding of quality systems and regulatory requirements relevant to the business.Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office; strong e-mail skills.Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree required (Engineering preferred).3–5 years of experience in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Jabil is an equal opportunity employer; we consider qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
