**_PRIMARY FUNCTION:_**
- Coordinate and expedite customs procedures, providing documentation in accordance with applicable legislation and maintaining a constant flow of all import and export merchandise, seeking the shortest delivery time
**_ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: _**
- Coordinate the import and export of material goods such as raw materials, spare parts and finished products; coordination of the processing of permits, certificates and necessary documentation before the competent authority based on government regulations.
- Prepare and send documentation to the customs agent for import and/or export shipments.
- Ensure the resolution of discrepancies during the receipt of import goods in plant and warehouses.
- Ensure the shipment of export goods and the resolution of discrepancies until their receipt with the customer.
- Track sea, air and land shipments, and solve problems in transit.
- Qualify the performance of customs agents and national and international carriers.
- Inform through weekly reports the status of shipments and estimated times of arrival at the plant of the materials in transit, as well as the estimated delivery times to the client.
- Integrate the files of foreign trade operations, in accordance with the applicable legislation for their corresponding file.
- Review the integration of expense accounts by the Customs Agents of each of the operations carried out and make the corresponding payment requirement.
- Track shipments and notify customers when necessary.
- Manage the payment of import and/or export freight invoices.
**Qualifications**:
**_ SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:_**
Education: Bachelor's degree completed in international business, foreign trade, business administration, all with a focus on international trade.
Previous experience: 2 years in a similar position
Know-how:




- Advanced English
- Foreign trade programs (AEO, CTPAT, Application of tariff preferences, etc.)
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
Experience in:
- Conducting relationships with key business partners (Freight Forwarders, 3PL's, Carriers, Customs Brokers, Customers, Suppliers, Auditors and Consultants).
- Extensive international experience and multi-cultural skill in business/documentation/legal knowledge/tax/transportation.
- Experience in Import and Export operations with China, Europe, NAFTA and Latin America.
- Experience in the implementation and maintenance of AEO and CTPAT Programs.
