Position overview: Designs, builds, and maintains systems for data storage, processing, and analysis. They create and manage data pipelines, ensure data quality, and support data-driven decision-making by transforming raw data into usable formats.
- Responsibilities: Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and pipelines
- Prepare, clean, and integrate data from multiple sources for analysis and modeling
- Implement data governance policies and ensure data quality and compliance
- Collaborate with data scientists to engineer effective features for modeling
- Requirements: Expertise in SQL and proficiency in programming languages like Python or Scala
- Deep understanding of data architecture principles and experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery) and proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Proficiency in ETL processes and ability to implement data quality rules
- Proficiency with version control systems like Git and adherence to best practices
