We are seeking a **Senior API Engineer** who thrives on managing complex data migrations and is motivated to create efficiency around API settings, configurations, and operations.

**Responsibilities**
- Migrate API settings and configurations to orchestrate diverse data integrations
- Transition proxies, shared flows, reports, monitors, and customer configurations seamlessly
- Conduct volume and performance testing with both simulation tools and host system integrations
- Address technical challenges and communicate potential obstacles or risks effectively
- Deliver complex technical solutions efficiently and maintain high-quality outputs
**Requirements**:
- 3 years of experience in Java coding and API development
- Proven background in completing at least one comprehensive migration between Apigee versions, including Apigee X
- Expertise in Java, REST APIs, SQL, and micro-services architecture
- Familiarity with Apigee Edge, Apigee X, GCP, MySQL, Big Query, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Anthos
- Proficiency in development and operations related to cloud-native technologies, specifically GCP
- Solid understanding of big data concepts and data engineering techniques
- Broad knowledge of open-source libraries and packages used for data engineering
- Exceptional communication skills, organizational ability, and fluency in English
- Flexibility to adapt to new tools, programming languages, and methods of data migration
- Team-oriented approach with a willingness to mentor and learn from peers
**Nice to have**
- Background in technologies like AngularJS, Apache Kafka, BigQuery datasets, Google Anthos, Kubernetes, ReactJS, Python for data integration, and advanced SQL




- Familiarity with professional certifications relevant to API engineering
