Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, and track compliance indicators (KPIs) related to import/export operations and regulatory adherence.
- Follow up and coordinate findings for internal trade compliance audits.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of the IMMEX program (services and industrial modalities), including compliance with the requirements of SE, SAT, and other authorities.
- Monitor compliance process gaps, ensuring the proper implementation of tools, processes, and appropriate personnel in the region to ensure trade compliance.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with programs such as IVA-IEPS certification, IMMEX, and international trade regulations (where applicable).
- Analyze and report trade compliance risks to management, proposing preventive and corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and training to operational and administrative staff on trade compliance best practices.
- Support to develop strategies, design and implement trade compliance IT tools for use in the region.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in international trade, Business, Customs Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Trade Compliance roles within IMMEX companies (services and industrial).
- Strong knowledge of Mexican customs legislation, LCE, LIGIE, RGCE, NOMs, and free trade agreements (TLCs).
- Proficient in Annex 24 & 31 compliance, virtual operations, and automated inventory control systems.
- Basic skills in project management and continuous improvement.
- Experience with internal and external audits.
- Advanced skills in Excel and knowledge of Power BI, SAP or similar ERP systems.
- English: Intermediate to Advanced level required.
