The Industrial Engineer (IE) is responsible for improving manufacturing processes, equipment, manufacturing layouts, and providing manufacturing production support. Leads process improvement activities to include in-process defect reduction, scrap reduction, set-up / changeover reduction, productivity improvement, and overall improvement in OEE. The IE is also responsible for designing, developing, testing, and evaluating integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.**
- Plans and establishes sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization. - Reviews production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities. - Estimates production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control. - Drafts and designs layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using drafting tools and computer. - Coordinates and implements quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs. - Communicates with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards. - Develops manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.



- Understands and complies with all safety regulations and procedures; assist in making sure that the facility and equipment are safe for employees and visitors; Ensures that every job or task is safe for the employees; supervises to make sure all work is carried out correctly.
Experiência y requisitos
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field required.
- At least five years of related experience required.
- Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Efficiency improvements and process optimization.
- Skilled in writing reports, data collection, communication, and procedure manuals.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong Excel skills preferred.
- Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing,
identifying, and solving problems as necessary; Ability to work well in stressful situations
- time management, attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills; must
be extremely detailed, highly organized, and adaptable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a supportive and positive atmosphere; Able to
work with multiple teams and projects
