**JOB PURPOSE**
Job purpose The Supplier Development Engineer works at a professional level to ensure that components and products are consistently manufactured in full compliance with specified requirements. Applies knowledge and a solid understanding of product and process engineering. They drive supplier operations improvement designed to produce reductions in lead time, inventory, PPM/total cost, manufacturing system, and ensure ergonomic workstations. They provide technical support (Quality and Engineering) to suppliers in developing their manufacturing systems to produce PHINIA components.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Definition and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions to reduce supplier rejections.
- Establishment of New Product Launch programs with suppliers.
- Conduct on-site evaluations and assistance visits to suppliers to improve supplier performance and achieve corporate objectives in the areas of Quality, Cost, and Response. These activities include technical site assessments, design reviews, control plan audits, product audits, and problem-solving activities.
- Participating in the approval and verification of local PPAP suppliers.
- Review supplier component designs to ensure they meet specified tolerances.
- On-site verification of GP12.
- Management of the supplier development system.
- Visit suppliers for PPAP approvals.
- Application of statistical quality tools.
- Verify that component specifications are in accordance with drawings.
- Evaluate supplier machinery and equipment to determine repair and replacement needs.
- Develop plans for line specifications and capacities as required.
- Actively participate in the Annual Physical Inventory.
**What we’re looking for**
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience in a similar position: At least 3 years in a similar position in the automotive industry. Experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer, or Manufacturing Engineer with extensive experience related to quality.
- Other requirements: Microsoft Office,
ISO 14001 Environmental Systems (desirable).
