Job Summary**
The Maintenance Planner at El Carmen Manufacturing Facility is responsible for optimizing maintenance activities through effective planning and scheduling, ensuring the reliable operation of production equipment and facilities.
Job Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement detailed maintenance plans and schedules for preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with production, operations, and other departments to minimize downtime and disruption during maintenance work.
- Create and manage work orders, ensuring proper documentation, resource allocation (labor, materials, tools), and adherence to safety protocols.
- Identify and procure necessary parts and materials, working closely with purchasing and inventory control.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment history, maintenance costs, and performance metrics.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, optimize maintenance strategies, and recommend improvements.
- Assist in the development and revision of maintenance procedures and standards.
- Participate in root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
**Required Skills and Education**
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in maintenance planning or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of maintenance principles, including preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance technologies, and reliability concepts.
- Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP, Maximo, or similar.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
