We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeping Specialist to take ownership of a portfolio of bookkeeping clients. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Monterrey.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Maintain general ledger accuracy
- Manage month-end close processes
- Prepare financial statements
- Identify and correct accounting discrepancies
- File sales tax returns
- Assist with compliance filings
- Process payroll and understand U.S.based payroll regulations
- Maintain books aligned with tax-focused reporting practices
- Properly account for asset sales, equity transactions, liabilities, and basis
- Support cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping projects
- Manage multiple clients simultaneously
**Requirements**:
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Online
- Solid understanding of U.S.



accounting principles
- Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger management
- Experience preparing financial statements
- Knowledge of sales tax compliance
- Experience processing payroll under U.S. regulations
- Ability to identify and correct accounting errors independently
- Strong understanding of equity, liabilities, basis, and fixed asset transactions
- Experience managing multiple clients
Experience with job costing or construction-based clients is a plus.
