Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all HR functions within the manufacturing facility, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance with labor laws and company policies. The role supports operational goals by ensuring effective workforce planning, maintaining a positive work environment, and promoting employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Workforce Planning

- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for manufacturing and support roles.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle including job postings, interviews, hiring, and onboarding.
- Partner with department managers to identify staffing needs and workforce planning.

2. Employee Relations

- Foster a positive workplace culture and address employee concerns or grievances.
- Support managers in handling disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
- Promote open communication between management and employees.

3. Performance Management

- Implement performance management systems and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Support managers in setting employee goals and development plans.
- Monitor employee productivity and engagement.

4. Training & Development

- Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
- Ensure compliance training, safety training, and leadership development initiatives are conducted.
- Support continuous improvement and skill development within the workforce.

5. Compensation & Benefits





- Administer employee compensation structures and benefits programs.
- Ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
- Support payroll coordination and benefits enrollment.

6. Compliance & Policy Management

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.

7. Health, Safety & Workplace Compliance

- Work closely with the safety team to promote workplace safety initiatives.
- Support OSHA and workplace safety compliance requirements.
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action planning.

8. HR Reporting & Analytics

- Prepare HR metrics and reports related to turnover, hiring, absenteeism, and workforce trends.
- Use HR data to support business decisions and workforce planning.

Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience managing HR operations in a plant or production facility.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
- Experience with workforce planning in manufacturing environments
- Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
