WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Lead materials planning, inventory management, domestic and international logistics, and supply chain execution for a multinational manufacturing operation characterized by a high-mix, low-volume environment with significant demand variability and uncertainty.
This role is accountable for ensuring material availability, uninterrupted production, and achievement of service, inventory, cost, and operational performance objectives through flawless execution, rigorous KPI management, and highly effective coordination across suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is a highly tactical leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, possesses exceptional analytical capabilities, demonstrates relentless attention to detail, maintains a strong sense of urgency, and is willing to personally engage in day-to-day operational challenges rather than managing solely from a strategic level.
Key Responsibilities: Materials Management and Planning Ensure timely material availability to support production schedules and customer demand. Lead MRP planning and material replenishment processes utilizing SAP.
Manage supply planning in highly volatile and low-predictability demand environments.
Balance inventory levels, customer service requirements, and working capital objectives. Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks. Domestic and International Logistics Manage import activities across global supply networks.
Oversee logistics costs, transportation performance, customs compliance, and lead times. Develop and execute contingency plans to minimize supply disruptions.
Inventory Management
Maintain world-class inventory accuracy levels. Lead cycle count programs and inventory control processes. Reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory. Ensure master data integrity within SAP.
Operational Execution
Actively participate in resolving daily material shortages and supply issues. Lead escalation management and critical shortage recovery efforts. Facilitate operational reviews and performance meetings. Drive accountability and execution discipline throughout the organization. Maintain a strong floor presence and hands-on involvement in operations.
Critical Competencies Execution Excellence
Sense of Urgency People-Centered Leadership Executive Presence and Assertive Communication Attention to Detail Ideal Candidate Profile Education Industrial/ Supply Chain Engineering or related. Advanced english.
Experience 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Materials Management, or Operations. 5+ years leading managers, supervisors, or professional teams.
Experience within multinational manufacturing organizations. Strong background in High-Mix / Low-Volume environments. Proven success managing global supply chains.
Experience operating in highly volatile demand environments.
Experience working with demanding executive leadership. Demonstrated track record of delivering meaningful KPI improvements.
