Role Summary (Role Context)
Responsible for leading and managing end-to-end acquisition projects for new model introductions. This role ensures flawless execution by aligning all project phases with internal plant processes and integral corporate procedures.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Align projects with the corporate vision, driving the development and standardization of tools and processes across all departments.
- Coordinate and actively participate in internal and external work meetings to track and monitor project development.
- Monitor internal and customer events, ensuring the follow-up and closure of open action items with the responsible departments.
- Lead level 2 and 3 project tracking and status meetings for every ongoing program, driving all open action items to closure.
- Conduct risk analyses based on the consolidation and assessment of current project timelines and schedules.
- Track performance against established objectives, evaluating and analyzing results to implement corrective actions and adapt processes, documents, and protocols based on lessons learned.
- Manage the Regional ME system, taking responsibility for the follow-up and compliance of related audits.
- Oversee the department's budget and conduct internal audits with department managers to ensure the proper and efficient allocation of resources.
- Maintain strict control over the department's internal budget.
- Manage high-level projects involving critical capital expenditure (CapEx) or financial allocation situations.
- Provide strategic support in supplier negotiations during high-risk or critical situations.
Position Relation
This position reports to: Director, Region Manufacturing Engineering
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. (Desirable: Specialization or Master's degree in Project Management / Business Administration).
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the manufacturing or automotive industry, managing new model launches and robust budgets.
- Certifications (Desirable): PMP (Project Management Professional).
- Languages: Advanced English proficiency.
