About the Opportunity
A leading company in the urban development is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead its Health, Safety & Environment strategy across multiple operational sites.
This role is responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing best practices that support operational excellence across complex field projects.
The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with proven experience managing HSE programs in dynamic, multi-site environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organization's Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) strategy.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and corporate standards.
- Develop and implement risk prevention and safety management programs.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across operational teams.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
- Coordinate internal and external HSE audits.
- Support operational leaders in risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Manage contractor HSE performance and compliance.
- Lead, coach, and develop the HSE team.
- Oversee departmental budgets and resource planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- Master's degree or professional certifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or Risk Management are preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of leadership experience in HSE or Occupational Health & Safety roles.
- Experience in infrastructure, urban development.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
- Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining:
- NOM-031-STPS
- NOM-030-STPS
- NOM-017-STPS
- NOM-019-STPS
- NOM-026-STPS
- Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Availability to travel between project sites.
- Intermediate to advanced English preferred.
