Job Description - AWS Solution Architect

Day to Day job Duties

- Translate the client’s business requirements into specific system, application, and process designs for custom technical solutions.
- Analyze client requirements and design solutions to meet business objectives.
- Balance sales and delivery needs to design solutions that meet or exceed service delivery requirements.
- Design, develop and implement total system solutions to the enterprise-wide technical requirements of clients.
- Integrate hardware, processes, methodologies, and software within the client environment.
- Lead the deployment, ensuring technical accuracy and completeness of integrated system designs and end-to-end solutions that align with business objectives, risk tolerance, and regulatory requirements.
- Translate security requirements into technical architectures across infrastructure, applications, cloud, and data environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including IT, business leaders, developers, and security teams to ensure secure solution delivery.
- Evaluate and select technologies that support secure system integration, threat mitigation, and operational resilience.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Develop architectural documentation including diagrams, security models, and implementation guidelines.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to system design, data flow, and third‑party integrations.
- Support incident response and recovery planning, embedding resilience into architectural decisions.




- Guide development and operations teams on secure implementation practices and architectural standards.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, continuously refining architectural strategies.
- Understand own area and perform all facets of the role.
- Manage projects with oversight from the supervisor.
- Act as a consulting team member or individual technical consultant in developing technical solutions of moderate complexity within the consulting practice area.
- Develop solutions and strategies based on the analysis of client business goals, objectives, needs, and existing infrastructure.
- Apply established principles, concepts, and techniques in developing solutions and strategies.
- Regularly interact with external clients and client managers and identify additional opportunities in client organizations.
- Integrate multiple technologies and applications within specific client solutions.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in solution architecture or software design.
- Strong understanding of software development, cloud computing, and system integration.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in architectural frameworks and modeling tools (e.g., TOGAF, UML).
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF).
- Experience with microservices, APIs, and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, or data platforms.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data governance.
