Overview

EMI Mexico is looking for a Business Manager to help strengthen our operational and financial health as we grow our impact in the region. This is a pivotal role designed to bring structure and strategic foresight to our office, ensuring we can serve more communities effectively. As Business Manager, you will join a dedicated team to:

- Strengthen the operational and financial health of EMI Mexico
- Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance in Mexico in coordination with EMI world structure and accountability protocol.
- Provide financial clarity to guide project planning and staffing decisions
- Develop administrative systems and robust internal controls
- Lead the development of a fundraising strategy and manage donor stewardship processes
- Support the Office Director in navigating the challenges of a growing office

- Financial Oversight: Budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting
- Operations: Strengthening administrative systems and internal controls
- Development: Fundraising strategies, grant reporting, and donor stewardship
- Compliance: Navigating legal and financial requirements in an international context
- Marketing & Communications: Ability to translate complex financial data into compelling impact stories for donors and the public

Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day financial operations and budgeting for EMI Mexico
- Ensure all financial reporting is accurate and provided in a timely manner to EMI leadership
- Act in line with both local Mexican regulations and international compliance standards
- Collaborate with the Office Director to ensure project resources and staffing are financially sustainable
- Refine and maintain internal systems that support the long-term growth and stability of the office
- Act as a steward of the organization's resources, ensuring they are used effectively to maximize impact
- Support marketing efforts by providing data and narratives that demonstrate the office’s impact and financial stewardship
