BASIC FUNCTION

As an Engineer II for Bathing Shower &Styling; Space category, you’ll play a critical role in bringinginnovative consumer products to life – products that balance beautiful design,technical excellence, and real-world manufacturability. You’ll transform earlyconcepts into high-quality products used by consumers every day. This role isideal for someone who thrives in collaborative environments, enjoys solvingcomplex problems, and is motivated by turning bold ideas into production-readysolutions. We’re seeking a creative, technically strongengineer who brings both ownership and curiosity to their work and enjoyscollaborating across disciplines. You aresomeone who:

- Understandsmanufacturing realities, with experience designing for processes such ascasting, forging, stamping, injection molding, machining, welding, tubebending, hydroforming, plating, and fabrication.
- enjoys solving complexproblems, confidently evaluating designs and continuously optimizingperformance, cost, and quality.
- Works effectivelyacross regions and cultures, partnering with global engineering teams andsuppliers.

Specific responsibilities:

- Executes complexengineering projects involving development of new products and changes toexisting products including specification,



concept, design, qualification,and verification of products and sub-assemblies.
- Creates and maintainsproduct specifications to meet Kohler’s performance and quality standards aswell as regulatory requirements for intended regions.
- Apply standardengineering tools such as: DFMEA, T-stack ups, DVP&R;, CAD (CREO),Bills of Materials (SAP), GD&T;, FEA.
- Utilize core toolsmodules such as SPC (CPK and PPK), PPAPs and PPR.
- Coordinates engineeringactivities with other functional areas, remote plants, suppliers, andcontractors.

Hard Skills

- Full understanding of product design and development process.
- Able to create and defend tolerance stack-up analysis
- Moderate understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T;) per ASME Y14.5
- Moderate understanding in design verification and validation (DVP&Rs;).
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving advocate.
- Competitive product benchmarking seeker.
- Technical feasibility assessments.
- Regulatory and standards compliance.
- Moderate use of CREO CAD software to model and/or inspect 3D files, revision of assemblies and 2D drawings.
- CAD data management (Windchill or similar).
- Moderate understanding of materials science,especially for Metal, Glass, Wood and finishes for selection.
- Moderate on Designfor variability applications, such as DFSS, Process Capability (CPK), DFM,DFA.

Skills/Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

EngineerII Level: Bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.

Minimum of 1 to 3 years of mechanicalengineering experience.
International and domestic travel asneeded.

Master in mechanical design orinnovation optional.
