Job Overview:

We are looking for aBilingual Personal Injury Paralegal fluent in Spanish and English to manage active litigation cases from complaint filing through trial preparation and closing. In this role, you will collaborate closely with supervising attorneys to handle discovery, draft court pleadings, coordinate client communications, and summarize medical evidence.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST, with a 1-hour unpaid break

Responsibilities:

- Oversee active personal injury files in MyCase, conducting initial reviews, maintaining trial-ready electronic files, logging time entries, and auditing cases regularly to execute the next steps needed to drive matters forward.
- Calculate, calendar, and track all critical litigation dates (statutes of limitations, court deadlines, discovery timelines, and events); promptly alert supervising attorneys to missed deadlines, adverse developments, or potential case risks.
- Draft complaints, motions, subpoenas, and proposed orders for attorney review; secure service of process; and manage e-filings across state and federal courts, ensuring file-stamped copies and pleadings indices are saved.
- Draft and track written discovery requests and responses; coordinate subpoenas for law enforcement, employment,



and medical records; review opposing responses for deficiencies; and draft motions to compel as needed.
- Request, review, and organize medical records and bills; track ongoing treatment; prepare medical chronologies, billing summaries, and damages calculations; and assist with obtaining expert narrative reports.
- Schedule and coordinate depositions, mediations, IMEs, and hearings; arrange litigation vendors (reporters, interpreters, videographers); prepare exhibit lists and trial notebooks; and assist attorneys with witness preparation and court support.
- Maintain regular, plain-language communication with clients (at least biweekly) regarding litigation stages, deadlines, and treatment progress, and document all contacts in MyCase and quickly escalate client or case concerns.
- Review daily incoming correspondence and court notices; prepare case status reports; participate in strategy meetings on case valuation and litigation posture; and complete attorney assignments accurately within deadlines.
- Prepare mediation statements, settlement packages, releases, and dismissal orders; track medical balances, LOPs, and insurance/government liens; and collaborate with the reconciliation team to ensure complete file closure in MyCase.

Requirements:

- Associate degree, bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate,



or equivalent litigation experience.
- At least 3 years of civil litigation or personal injury experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
- Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, notices, and litigation correspondence.
- Knowledge of Georgia civil procedure, court filing requirements, and litigation deadlines preferred.
- Experience with electronic court filing systems.
- Ability to review and summarize medical records and bills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Strong organizational, proofreading, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities without sacrificing accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, case-management software, and electronic document systems.
- MyCase experience is preferred.
