Intugo, in partnership with a foreign company specializing in ophthalmology and vision care services, is looking for a Medical Receptionist to join its growing team in Guadalajara.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a key role in ensuring a positive patient experience while supporting the daily operations of a busy medical practice. Your responsibilities will include:

Answering incoming calls and assisting patients professionally and courteously.

Scheduling, confirming, rescheduling, and canceling patient appointments.

Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits.

Assisting patients with referrals and authorization processes.

Registering and updating patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Processing patient documentation and maintaining accurate medical records.

Coordinating with insurance providers regarding authorizations and referrals.

Managing patient recalls and follow-up appointments.

Contacting patients regarding outstanding balances when necessary.

Providing pre-operative education and instructions to patients.





Supporting both administrative and patient communication workflows while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.

At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Receptionist, Medical Office Assistant, Healthcare Customer Service Representative, or similar role.

Experience working in a healthcare or medical office environment.

Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and scheduling software.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage confidential patient information with professionalism.

Experience with insurance verification, referrals, or prior authorizations is highly preferred.
