A Day in Your Life at MKS: This position will be reporting to the Sr Purchasing Supervisor
Principal Responsibilities: Plan, schedule and monitor material movement through the production cycle
Evaluate vendor reliability and develop solutions in case of material shortages
Monitor cost and consolidate contracts where required to create cost-effective purchasing models
Develop new supply sources where required to keep operations stocked and able to generate the desired output
Actively maintain inventory and collaborate with operations to ensure appropriate stock
Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
CPIM and/or APICS certification preferred
2+ years of related experience
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:



Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
Must be able to exchange accurate information
The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
Operates in a professional office and/or manufacturing environment
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
Noise level in the work environment is usually average
