JOB SUMMARY The Quality Manager will lead the quality strategy and Quality Management System at our Ciudad Juárez manufacturing operation.

This position is responsible for ensuring product and process compliance, meeting customer, regulatory, and certification requirements, and driving a culture of prevention, accountability, structured problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

The Quality Manager will serve as the voice of the customer, lead the Quality team, and work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, corporate teams, customers, and suppliers to strengthen quality performance and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

- Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer-specific requirements.
- Establish quality objectives, KPIs, priorities, and action plans aligned with business and customer expectations.
- Coordinate Management Review meetings and communicate system performance, risks, opportunities, and improvement plans.
- Lead internal, process, product, layered process, customer, and certification audits.

CUSTOMER QUALITY & ESCALATIONS





- Represent the voice of the customer throughout the organization.
- Lead the complete customer complaint process, including immediate containment, root cause analysis, timely 8D submission, corrective actions, and effectiveness validation.
- Coordinate quality containment and recovery activities with the Ciudad Juárez and El Paso teams.
- Maintain direct and professional communication with customers, corporate teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage customer portals, requirements, escalations, scorecards, and quality priorities.

OPERATIONAL & SUPPLIER QUALITY

- Ensure effective product and process quality controls, including inspection, release, nonconforming product management, and trend analysis.
- Lead structured problem-solving and ensure the timely implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage supplier quality performance, containment activities, corrective actions, and component or material quality issues.
- Support new product launches, product transfers, engineering changes, and process improvements through the effective application of Core Tools.
- Monitor and reduce scrap, rework, warranty claims, customer returns, Cost of Poor Quality, and other quality-related risks.

LEADERSHIP & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

- Lead, coach, and develop the Quality team through clear objectives, feedback, delegation, recognition, and performance follow-up.
- Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives focused on defect prevention, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and sustainable results.
- Present weekly and monthly quality performance, trends, risks, and recovery plans during PPR and leadership meetings.
- Promote a strong culture of integrity, accountability, safety, teamwork, and customer focus.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Bilingual Spanish–English with advanced written and verbal communication skills is required.
- Lead Auditor certification and formal training in quality tools, structured problem-solving, or Continuous Improvement are preferred.

EXPERIENCE





- Minimum of five years of progressive Quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
- At least three years of experience in a leadership or managerial position.
- Proven experience with Quality Management Systems, customer quality, supplier quality, audits, product launches or transfers, problem-solving, and team development.
- Experience in automotive, electrical, or electronics manufacturing is preferred.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

- ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001.
- Customer-specific requirements and customer quality portals.
- Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC.
- Structured problem-solving methodologies: 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
- Quality KPIs, risk analysis, and Cost of Poor Quality.
- Nonconforming product control, metrology, and specification interpretation.
- Statistical analysis and Minitab.
- Quality Management Systems, preferably ETQ.
- ERP systems, preferably BPCS.

- Valid U.S. visa and availability for domestic and international travel.
