About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Buyer & Logistics Specialist to lead and scale the procurement and supply chain operations of a integral logistics company with presence in Mexico and the United States. This person will be responsible for sourcing and logistics activities, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement, supply continuity, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, components, and services supporting manufacturing operations
Develop and strengthen supplier relationships, ensuring quality, cost competitiveness, and supply reliability
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and inventory strategies to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency
Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Planning, SIOP, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Strategic Sourcing teams
Monitor supplier performance using defined KPIs and lead corrective actions as required
Coordinate with logistics partners on transportation, warehousing, customs clearance, and delivery schedules
Optimize inventory levels by balancing working capital, service levels, and production continuity
Analyze market trends, supply risks, and capacity constraints
Ensure compliance with company policies,
trade regulations, Incoterms, and local and international customs requirements
Ensure inbound shipping and logistics data is entered into the ERP system (NetSuite) accurately and on time
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
7–10+ years of procurement experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Proven experience in logistics coordination, transportation management, and supply chain operations (SIOP)
Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier development skills
Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Working knowledge of international trade, Incoterms, and customs processes
Fluent in English and Spanish (required); Portuguese or Chinese is a plus
Willingness to travel internationally 5–10%
