Role Overview The operations department of Hartree Partners is seeking an entry level Base metals traffic operator.
The position is in charge to support with ensuring that all aspects of metals traffic operations which are put into place at Hartree Partners perform consistently in a highly dynamic working environment where requirements from numerous stakeholders have to be managed while at the same time ensuring strict compliance with operations procedures and processes.

Key Accountabilities
- Support to develop and execute integral transportation flows of base metals
- Support coordination of customer deliveries with industry best practices
- Assist in account management including oversight of regional markets, customer requirements, and inventory tracking
- Tracking supplier payments
- Ocean vessel tracking and laytime review against charterparty terms
- Assist in transportation negotiation and quotes in support of new business development
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with charter party terms/clauses preferred
- Development of negotiation skills
- Understands industry vetting standards
- Overall, 1-2 years' experience in Transportation Logistics, Operations, Customer Service, and/or Project Management functions are preferred but not required
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail




- Problem-solving and thought partnering skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Proficient in English (B2 or C1 level)
