Production & Supply Chain Manager- Agroindustry - GDLGuadalajara - Full time - Salary: 35K - 40K MXN gross (28K - 32K MXN after taxes)CompanyOur client is an international industrial company specialized in the design, manufacturing and commercialization of industrial equipment for the food industry.The company operates globally and serves customers throughout Mexico and Latin America from its Guadalajara operation.
Its local structure is lean and entrepreneurial, offering a high level of autonomy and visibility.Position OverviewAs the Operations & Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of the Mexican subsidiary.
You will oversee the assembly workshop, production planning, inventory accuracy, material availability and logistics operations, ensuring customer projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to quality standards.This is a highly operational, hands-on position within a small industrial organization.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working both on the shop floor and on strategic process improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Production (Approximately 60%)Supervise the daily activities of the assembly workshop.Lead and coordinate a small team of assembly technicians.Plan and prioritize production activities according to customer demand.Ensure materials and components are available before production starts.Monitor production progress and resolve operational issues in real time.Optimize workflow,
productivity and resource utilization.Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.Monitor operational KPIs related to productivity, quality, delivery and safety.Ensure compliance with quality standards and operational procedures.Supply Chain & Logistics (Approximately 40%)Manage purchasing activities and supplier relationships.Plan material requirements based on production needs.Issue and follow up purchase orders.Manage inventory levels and ensure inventory accuracy.Coordinate inbound logistics, warehousing and outbound shipments.Monitor import/export activities together with logistics providers.Develop and maintain Supply Chain KPIs.Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering and Finance to ensure smooth project execution.ProfileBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Proven experience managing production or assembly operations.Strong Supply Chain knowledge, including procurement, inventory management,
planning and logistics.Experience leading operational teams in a manufacturing environment.Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the shop floor.Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen or Continuous Improvement initiatives.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.ERP experience (SAP or equivalent).
