Job Title: US Import & Export Freight Specialist (Ocean & Air)Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco, MexicoReports to: Operations DirectorSalary: $25,000 – $30,000 MXN/month (gross, depending on experience)About the Role We are looking for a Freight Specialist to manage ocean and air freight operations on the US import/export trade lane, based in our Guadalajara office.ResponsibilitiesHandle end-to-end ocean (FCL/LCL) and air freight operations for import and export shipments between Mexico and the USACoordinate with carriers, airlines, trucking companies, and overseas agents on bookings, capacity, and transit timesPrepare and verify shipping documents: Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, commercial invoice, packing listLiaise with customs brokers (Agente Aduanal) for import/export clearance in MexicoTrack shipments and proactively update clients/HQ; resolve exceptions (delays, damages,



shortages)Maintain accurate records in CargoWiseSupport billing reconciliation with carriers/airlinesRequirements2+ years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics operations; US trade lane experience preferredHands-on experience with CargoWise (required) — must be able to process bookings, generate documents (B/L, AWB), and manage shipment records in the systemWorking knowledge of ocean & air freight processes and IncotermsWorking proficiency in English (Mandarin a plus, not required)Proficient in ExcelStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to quickly identify and resolve shipment issuesQuick learner, comfortable picking up new systems and processes with minimal supervisionDetail-oriented, able to multitask and handle multiple shipments under pressureFlexible availability — willing to adjust working hours to align with US time zones and accommodate urgent shipment issues outside standard hours
