OverviewAs part of the Celestica General Automation team, you are an Engineer with exposure and experience in automation equipment manufacturing and technologies.You have great communication skills in English and can interface with different engineers / managers from different sites around the world.You can coordinate the planning and tracking of automation projects using Excel / Smartsheet tools, exercising data analysis, data proof, project updates, cost tracking, forecasts, etc.You can track technologies and solutions across the different sites to standardize processes and procedures.You are familiar with solutions involving different types of technologies (robotics, PLCs, vision system, automated testers, safety, mobile robots, cleanroom requirements, etc.) in different markets (industrial, smart energy, health‐tech, communications, etc.) and are comfortable working in a team environment.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the planning and tracking of automation projects using Excel / Smartsheet tools, including data analysis, data proof, and project updates.Participate in weekly team meetings to update project status and create required actions to complete projects on time and on budget.Coordinate frequent project updates with automation/operations teams at different sites across the globe.Participate in regular calls with different sites to update status of their automation projects.Create reports of project status, executive summaries, and project update decks to share with executive levels of Celestica.Maintain and track vendor execution, invoicing, material arrival, PO creation, and CAPEX approval.Support automation projects in all phases of the project lifecycle using tools such as User Requirement Specifications (URS)
and FAT/SAT documentation.Collaborate with automation peers to deliver innovative automation solutions to customers.QualificationsMinimum 2 years of relevant experience.Experience with data analysis, data sheets, Excel/Smartsheets, tables, charts, etc.Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Adherence to all Health and Safety regulations and procedures.Ability to work in fast‐changing dynamic environments.Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate in group meetings.Nice to HaveExperience with automation solutions and technologies including industrial robots, PLCs, and vision systems.Experience with ERP systems like SAP.Knowledge of financial terms and calculations (ROI, payback, etc.).
