- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- At least three years of experience in a related field
SCHEDULE:
- Normal office hours, five days per week
- Some overtime or weekend duties may be required
- Limited business travel may be required
Functions:
- Subject manner expert in National Customs Agency of Mexico activities
- Assist with US and Canadian import/export inquires and transactions in day-to-day operations.
- Submit Manifest Valuation through Pedimento Empresarial
- Submit permits through COFEPRIS
- Support customs compliance import and export audit and corrective action activities
- Support North American Customs Compliance automation and digitalization projects.
- Assist with import and export recordkeeping filing per each country's Record Retention policy.
- Interpret & summarize complex regulatory scenarios,
offering guidance to and/or on behalf of business partners Research & analyze complex & changing regulatory framework.
- Self-starter on audit & identification of errors on export and import documents.
- Continually educate the vast array of internal and external partners across the entire business on the procedures and policies of the customs compliance organization.
- Responsible for investigating, and when necessary, assist in implementing resolution for value chain stakeholders' concerns to ensure timely and compliant execution of compliance responsibilities.
- Extensive understanding and application of Microsoft Excel knowledge to maintain & audit large volumes of data.
- Interpret and understand a multitude of free trade agreement regulations and provide compliant determinations and documentation in support of duty deferred declarations.
