Position Summary
The Service Now Senior Developer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of solutions within the Service Now platform.
This role involves advanced customization, integration, and maintenance of the Service Now environment, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business requirements.
The Senior Developer will work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and provide technical leadership to junior developers.
Service Now Development and Customization Design, develop, and implement complex solutions within the Service Now platform, including custom applications, workflows, integrations, and automations.
Perform advanced customization of the Service Now platform, including UI policies, client scripts, business rules, and script includes.
Develop and maintain integrations between Service Now and other enterprise systems using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and other integration methods.
Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to Service Now best practices and coding standards.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of Service Now applications and integrations.
Technical Leadership Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Service Now developers.
Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality and consistency.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of Service Now development standards and best practices.
Stay up-to-date on the latest Service Now features, releases, and technologies.
Collaboration And Communication Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.




Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, weekly stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
Operational Support Provide support for Service Now requests, incidents, changes and problems.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Monitor Service Now performance and identify areas for optimization.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in Service Now development and implementation.
Strong architectural understanding of Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and Service Portfolio Management (SPM).
Proficiency in Java Script, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
Experience with Service Now APIs and integration methods.
Expertise in implementing and optimizing ITIL aligned processes to enhance service management.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Specific Technical Skills Needed Must have experience in ITOM or ITAM (HAM and SAM) implementation.
Extensive experience with Service Now scripting, workflows, and integrations.
Service Now Administration and New Application Implementation.
Proficiency in Service Now Security and Access Control (ACLs / Roles).
