About ClaraClara is a B2B fintech in Latin America that offers corporate cards, bill pay, and financing solutions.The company supports over 20,000 businesses through a scalable platform built on cloud and open‐source technologies.LocationLatin AmericaWhat you'll doWe're hiring a Senior Java Backend Engineer to lead the design and development of backend services powering Clara's financial platform.The role involves architectural decisions, collaboration across teams, and ensuring our systems are performant, secure, and scalable.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement robust backend services using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.Architect scalable, distributed systems and microservices that support our core financial products.Model data and manage PostgreSQL and Redis for both transactional and caching needs.Build and secure RESTful APIs for internal and external consumption.Work with event‐driven architectures and tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ.Mentor junior engineers, enforce best practices and quality standards.Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver technical solutions that align with business goals.Must haves5+ years of backend development experience in Java,
