Reporting to the Equipment Maintenance Engineer the Equipment Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, transfer, and optimization of SMT. This role supports pilot and production operations by ensuring equipment reliability, maximizing uptime, and leading equipment-related continuous improvement initiatives.What a typical day looks like:Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures involving mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software systems.Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on SMT manufacturing equipment.Install, commission, validate, relocate, transfer, and debug production equipment and manufacturing lines.Provide hands‑on technical support for SMT and Back end operations.Lead installation activities for SMT lines, Edge Bonding equipment, SCP equipment, and Reflow Ovens.Conduct equipment calibrations, qualifications, and re‑certifications per established schedules.Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions to improve uptime and reliability.Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, downtime reports, and technical documentation.Partner with Manufacturing, Process, Quality, and Operations teams to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.Coordinate activities with equipment vendors and external service providers.Support pilot builds, NPI projects, equipment transfers, and capacity expansion projects.Lead and mentor a team of Maintenance Technicians.Ensure compliance with company safety,
