Responsible for defining and overseeing supplier quality and incoming inspection processes while leading the Supplier Quality and Incoming Quality Control teams. Ensures effective management of supplier quality performance, incoming inspection activities, containment actions, and corrective action implementation. Leads the resolution of supplier quality issues, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and fosters strong supplier relationships to ensure compliance with quality standards, customer expectations, and business objectives.Demonstrates strong leadership, accountability, and proactive decision-making while managing personnel, developing team capabilities, and promoting operational excellence across all supplier quality activities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and implement supplier quality strategies that drive improvements in supplier selection, qualification, development, performance, and overall supply chain quality.Provide technical leadership and support in all supplier quality management activities, ensuring compliance with internal requirements, customer expectations, and applicable regulatory standards.Lead, coach, and develop Supplier Quality Engineers and Incoming Quality Control personnel, ensuring effective execution of responsibilities and achievement of departmental objectives.Manage employee performance, provide ongoing feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and support employee development plans.Demonstrate strong leadership by promoting teamwork, accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.Ensure all supplier-related quality issues are identified, contained, and resolved in a timely manner through effective root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.Provide regular updates to Quality Management regarding supplier performance, quality risks, improvement initiatives, and overall strategy execution.Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities through participation in qualification and validation processes, including Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) activities when required.Define, develop, and maintain Incoming Inspection Plans, sampling methodologies, inspection criteria,



and acceptance standards.Direct and oversee Incoming Inspection activities to ensure timely disposition of incoming materials and compliance with quality requirements.Ensure effective Incoming Inspection processes are established, maintained, and continuously improved through the use of inspection aids, work instructions, and documented procedures.Monitor incoming material quality performance and drive improvements based on inspection data, supplier performance metrics, non-conformance trends, and customer feedback.Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, and performance reviews to ensure supplier compliance with quality expectations and continuous improvement objectives.Establish and maintain productive working relationships with suppliers and external partners to drive quality improvements, risk reduction, and business continuity.Lead supplier corrective and preventive action activities through the SCAR process and verify effectiveness of implemented actions.Review supplier non-conformances and coordinate corrective action activities with cross-functional teams and suppliers.Analyze supplier quality performance using key metrics such as PPM, defect rates, incoming inspection results, corrective action effectiveness, and delivery quality performance.Proactively identify quality risks, potential manufacturing issues, and opportunities for improvement, communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect prevention, process optimization, supplier development, and cost reduction.Provide technical expertise in statistical analysis, process capability studies, Gauge R&R;, DOE, root cause analysis, and other quality improvement methodologies.Ensure accountability for achieving supplier quality objectives, departmental KPIs,



customer satisfaction targets, and compliance requirements.MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for supervising Supplier Quality Engineers, Incoming Quality Control Inspectors, and other assigned quality personnel.Provides leadership, coaching, training, and performance management for direct reports.Establishes departmental goals and ensures alignment with organizational objectives.Promotes a culture of accountability, engagement, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.JOB QUALIFICATIONSKNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSStrong electro-mechanical manufacturing background preferred.Knowledge of plastic injection molding, tooling, metal stamping, metal fabrication, machining processes, PCB/PCBA manufacturing, cable assemblies, connectors, electronics, and final product integration.Strong understanding of Supplier Quality Management systems and methodologies.Experience with Incoming Inspection processes, sampling plans, inspection methods, and quality control techniques.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T;, and technical documentation.Working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Control Plans, and Process Capability studies.Strong supplier auditing and supplier development experience.Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.Ability to effectively manage supplier relationships and drive accountability at all organizational levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, or other applicable quality management systems is preferred.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field required.Minimum of 4 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related quality functions.Experience working directly with suppliers, conducting supplier audits, and leading supplier development initiatives.#J-18808-Ljbffr
