At Forvis Mazars Mexico, we are looking for a motivated Internal Control & SOX Consultant to join our Quality Control team in Mexico City.In this role, you will provide specialized support for the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the firm's Quality assurance and risk management initiatives in Mexico.
You will also help strengthen our quality and compliance culture, ensuring the effective execution of action plans arising from internal and external reviews.This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in regional initiatives, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of quality and risk management practices across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the continuous improvement of the Quality Management (ISQM1) within the firm in MexicoAssist in the documentation, monitoring, and testing of internal controls, including processes aligned with SOX compliancePerform quality and internal control testing, including walkthroughs and operational effectiveness assessmentsFollow up on remediation plans and corrective actions resulting from internal inspections, quality reviews, and compliance assessmentsSupport initiatives related to risk management, internal governance, and regulatory complianceCollaborate in the delivery of training programs on quality, ethics, internal controls, and risk management, and monitor compliance with mandatory policies and trainingPrepare reports and key metrics related to quality, internal controls, and risk management, maintaining effective communication with internal stakeholdersQualification RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration,



or related fieldsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailResults-oriented mindset with the ability to manage priorities effectivelyStrong teamwork and interpersonal communication skillsExperience coordinating or supervising team members is a plus.Knowledge of Power BI (nice to have)MS Office SuiteWhat can we offer?
