Overview

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Administrator to support and operate a large-scale enterprise Power BI environment. This role is focused on platform stability, governance, automation, and performance optimization, not report development. The administrator will ensure Power BI operates securely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while supporting a broad user community.

Responsibilities

- Administer and monitor Power BI tenant capacity, performance, and usage.
- Enforce governance standards for workspaces, datasets, and user access.
- Identify performance, capacity, and cost optimization opportunities.
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, SQL, and Power BI REST APIs.
- Monitor service health, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve deployment issues.
- Manage user access, roles, licensing, and refresh schedules.
- Create operational dashboards and documentation for platform monitoring and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and business teams to support enterprise BI needs.





Required Qualifications

- 3–5 years of hands-on Power BI administration experience in an enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Power BI governance, capacity management, and best practices.
- Experience with PowerShell or similar scripting for automation.
- Proficiency with SQL and Power BI REST APIs.
- Familiarity with Azure services and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Additional Notes

This is a hands-on administration role requiring deep Power BI platform expertise. Candidates must be comfortable operating in a high-volume environment and automating repetitive tasks.
