Overview

McDonald’s Integral Technology in Mexico City is building solutions to improve the customer, crew and employee experience. The role is Engineer II – Application Security, responsible for designing, building and optimizing application security solutions across the organization.

Responsibilities

- Design, implement and maintain application security processes aligned with organizational standards and industry best practices.
- Integrate security controls and testing into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from design through deployment.
- Manage and optimize SAST and DAST tools, reducing false positives and enhancing developer experience.
- Partner with DevOps, developers, architects and product teams to implement secure gates and automated checks within CI/CD pipelines.
- Stay current with emerging threats, tools and techniques; recommend enhancements to security processes and technologies.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:



3+ years in application security or related cybersecurity roles.
- Hands‑on experience with application penetration testing methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency with SAST and DAST tools.
- Experience integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of security tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.
- Preferred Qualifications: Container security and cloud‑native application security experience; certifications such as OSCP, CEH, Security+.
