Job Description
:What will you work on?
As the Import Analyst for the Spin Master Mexico Integral Supply Chain Team, you will take hands-on ownership of the end-to-end import process.
You will navigate complex customs operations, ensure strict trade compliance, and coordinate with external brokers to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of merchandise.
How will you create impact?
- Coordinate shipments end-to-end, from the initial determination of Harmonized System (HS) codes through to the final accounting closure of shipment files.
- Manage the customs clearance process actively, anticipating bottlenecks and proactively resolving delays with customs brokers.
- Analyze customs declarations (pedimentos) thoroughly to verify the accuracy of calculations and ensure the correct payment of import taxes and duties.
- Organize and maintain all import documentation to ensure complete end-to-end traceability and compliant release of merchandise from customs.
What are your skills and experience?
- Proven track record in import operations, logistics, or customs compliance within the Mexican market.
- In-depth, working knowledge of Mexican Customs Law, TIGIE (General Import and Export Tax Law), and Non-Tariff Regulations and Restrictions (RRNA).
- Strong technical ability to accurately determine HS Codes and tariff classifications.
- Complete mastery of handling and verifying Customs Declarations (Pedimentos).
- Practical experience applying International Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) to international shipments.
- Proficiency using SAP to manage logistics, supply chain, and accounting operations.
- Professional working proficiency in both Spanish and English.
