What You Will DoWorks under minimum supervision to provide support to manufacturing area on a variety of engineering tasksPerforms complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projectsAnalyzes workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, or machine utilizationLeads and supports process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce operational wastePerforms scrap and rework analysis, including data review, root cause identification, and implementation of standardized proceduresParticipates in tooling design using SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and alignment with engineering requirementsSolves problems to enable production flowSupports production line operationsFollows up on process improvementsProvides engineering support for production operations, including process support, troubleshooting, machine setup, and root cause analysis within the machining business unitMight require travel to the U.S. occasionallyRequired QualificationsTypically requires a university degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experienceProficient conversational and written English, able to communicate efficiently in person and through reports or emailIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with demonstrated ability to use advanced formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, nested IF statements), create and analyze pivot tables and charts,
and perform data analysis to support business reporting and decision‐makingHands‐on experience using SolidWorks or any 3D CAD software for modeling, drafting, and interpretation of engineering drawingsExperience operating, setting up, or troubleshooting soldering equipment, conformal coat or soldering conformal coat processes in a manufacturing environment (solder machine knowledge)Preferred QualificationsExperience interpreting and working with engineering documentation, including technical drawings, Bills of Materials, routings, manufacturing procedures, and product specificationsBachelor's degree in engineering (Electronic, Mechatronics, Mechanical preferred; Industrial or Aerospace Engineering also acceptable)Project management experience, including planning, execution, and coordination of cross‐functional initiativesExperience applying continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, including root cause analysis (RCA) tools and problem‐solving techniquesRTX adheres to the principles of equal employment.
