and enhance control design.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute independent quality assurance reviews across compliance operations, including KYC, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity reportingAssess compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and payment scheme rulesPerform audit style testing, including sampling, control assessment, evidence validation, and issue documentationIdentify operational, regulatory, and conduct risks; conduct root cause analysis; and recommend corrective actionsEvaluate quality and control effectiveness across fiat and digital currency payment activitiesTrack, analyze, and report error trends, themes, and key risk indicatorsPrepare and deliver clear QA reports and findings to management and senior stakeholdersSupport regulatory and audit issue remediation, including validation of control effectivenessDeputize for the Quality Assurance Manager as needed, including work allocation and progress monitoringProvide coaching and quality calibration support to junior analystsStay current on financial crime regulations, payment industry trends, scheme requirements, and emerging digital asset risksProactively identify opportunities to enhance QA frameworks, methodologies,
and reportingRequired Qualifications4+ years' experience in compliance, financial crime, risk, quality assurance, or audit within a large or global organizationExperience working in payments, payment schemes, and/or fiat and digital currency environmentsExposure to audit or audit style testing (internal audit, external audit, or formal QA/control testing)Strong knowledge of AML, sanctions, and financial crime compliance within regulated payment servicesDemonstrated ability to identify control gaps, perform root cause analysis, and support remediationStrong analytical and problem solving skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to learn complex products, payment flows, and regulatory requirements quicklyProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting regulatory exams or internal/external auditsFamiliarity with digital assets, stablecoins, or emerging payment technologiesExperience using data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)Prior experience leading or mentoring junior team membersCompetencies (Workday Aligned)Risk & Control AssessmentQuality Assurance & TestingRegulatory ComplianceAnalytical ThinkingAttention to DetailStakeholder ManagementCommunication & InfluenceContinuous ImprovementCorporate Security ResponsibilityAbide by Mastercard's security policies and practices;Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed;Report any suspected information security violation or breach, andComplete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard's guidelines.
