Job Description SummaryAs Mechanical Designer, you will work out mechanical design problems of low to medium complexity that involve multiple teams across GE aviation.
You will execute specific design or analysis tasks or even projects related to several types of Actuation Mechanisms.
A sound and solid mechanical design background to solve design requirements with either hand calculations or Finite Element Analysis techniques will help you succeed in this role.QualificationsSolid knowledge regarding any of the following degrees: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautics, Mechanical-Administrative Engineering, Mechanical-Electrical Engineering, Physics or Mechatronics.Graduation date January **** or later.English at intermediate level, Spanish at advanced level.Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe mechanical designer is in charge of developing, through analysis, design, test and integration, mechanical solutions that meet key stakeholders' requirements.




The design work will be executed under the guidance of an assigned program leader and mentors.The mechanical designer owns the technical and business substantiation of projects and must present substantiations on internal and external boards.The mechanical designer communicates project status, business issues, or meaningful information that interferes with project fulfillment.The mechanical designer demonstrates a solid mechanical background, enabling technical discussions with other personnel or teams and assuring the quality of their own work.The mechanical designer prepares invention disclosures to protect technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business.The mechanical designer ensures proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and/or tasks, consistent with engineering policies and procedures.A role at this level requires good interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technical information to others.Additional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: No#J-*****-Ljbffr
