About the Role
Sr.
Process Engineer at Nouryon.
This role focuses on process optimization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within chemical manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Lead process optimization initiatives to improve KPIs such as OEE, yield, throughput, and cost efficiency
Identify, analyze, and eliminate process inefficiencies using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA, RCPS) for complex process issues
Drive continuous improvement projects aligned with business and operational goals
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards within chemical manufacturing operations
Support plant startups, shutdowns, and scale‐up activities with technical expertise
Collaborate cross‐functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams
Develop and implement process control strategies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Lead or participate in capital projects, including process design, modifications, and equipment selection
Analyze process data and trends to support decision‐making and forecasting
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6 Process Engineers, fostering both technical excellence and leadership capabilities
Actively identify and develop high‐potential talent,
building a strong leadership pipeline within the organization
Drive a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and high performance
Ensure knowledge transfer, capability building, and succession planning across the team
Form future leaders and multiply the impact of the team through structured development and mentoring
Act as a technical reference and escalation point for process‐related challenges

Strategic thinking with the ability to align technical decisions with business objectives

Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
Proficiency in English (spoken and written) required
Location: Los Reyes, MX.
Job Type: Permanent, Full‐time, Onsite.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager.
