- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at the best prices by using sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of their commodity industry. - Develop strategies to guarantee materials and services supply on time for an effective facility operation (lead time reduction, cost saving, dual sourcing, etc.). - Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers. - Implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company. - Obtaining quotes from different suppliers. - Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers. - Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation. - Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns. - Generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes. - Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.
Experiência y requisitos
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s degree in administration, industrial engineer, logistics, supply chain or related field.



- English 80% MANDATORY - Proficient on Microsoft Project Management (certification is a plus). - Certification in APICS and/or ISM is desired. EXPERIENCE: - 3-5 years of experience or equivalent in the sourcing or supply chain department. - Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (electronic environment is a plus). - Proven experience in sourcing processes and projects. o Cost reduction. o Source relocation. o Second source. o Supplier development. - Proficiency in microsoft word, powerpoint, excel, and outlook. - Commodity management. - Supplier management. - A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies. - Strong negotiation skills. - Sound time-management and organizational skills. - Proven work experience as a Sourcing Specialist, commodity buyer or similar role.
