**Location**: Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico (On-site only)
**Schedule**: Full-time, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm PST | In-office
**Role Summary**
We are seeking a **Mexico-based International Compliance Attorney** to handle **cross-border legal and regulatory matters**, ensuring our operations align with both **Mexican and U.S. law**. You will be responsible for **contract review, labor law compliance, data protection**, and supporting our growing general structure. This role requires **on-site presence at our Guadalajara office** and is ideal for a **bilingual, detail-oriented legal professional** with deep knowledge of **Mexican and international corporate law**.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Draft, review, and negotiate **contracts**, **NDAs**, and **service agreements** between U.S. entities and Mexican operations.
- Ensure full **compliance with Mexican labor, tax, and employment laws**.
- Provide legal advice on **cross-border trade**, **foreign entity operations**, and **corporate governance**.
- Ensure organizational compliance with **Mexican data privacy laws** and alignment with U.S. standards (e.g., CCPA).
- Support internal audits and risk assessments related to **international compliance**.
- Deliver compliance briefings and legal updates to internal departments as needed.
- Liaise with outside counsel in Mexico or the U.S. when necessary.
**Required Qualifications**
- Law degree and active **Mexican bar license (Cédula Profesional required)**.
- Minimum **7-10 years of legal experience** in corporate, compliance, or international law.
- Strong command of **both English and Spanish** (business and legal fluency required).
- In-depth knowledge of **Mexican employment law**, **data protection laws**, and **commercial contracting**.
- Skilled in writing legal opinions, reviewing contracts, and advising stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Must live in or be willing to relocate to **Guadalajara**.
**Preferred Experience (Bonus)**
- LLM or training in **U.S. law**, **international arbitration**, or **cross-border M&A;**.
- Experience advising U.S.based companies or law firms.
- Familiarity with compliance in **multinational workforces**, **outsourcing**, or **legal operations**.

- Contract turnaround time under 48 hours (standard templates)
- 100% audit-ready compliance across labor, data, and operational regulations
- Successful delivery of legal reviews, summaries, and compliance briefings quarterly
- Zero legal infractions or compliance violations tied to Mexican operations
