regulatory compliance

- ensure compliance with article 95 bis of the ley general de organizaciones y actividades auxiliares del crédito and applicable dcg for money transmitters.
- maintain, implement, and update the manual de cumplimiento pld/ft, including all required policies and procedures for:
- user identification and verification
- transaction monitoring and alert systems
- suspicious activity detection and reporting

governance and internal control

- act as official de cumplimiento (oc) as per the dcg’s 36ª clause
- participate in and report to the comité de comunicación y control
- ensure internal policies reflect updates in risk and regulatory frameworks
- validate alerts, present suspicious operations to the committee, and escalate when necessary

training and audits

- design and manage annual training programs on aml/ctf for all employees
- coordinate with internal/external auditors to ensure proper evaluation of aml controls





act as the primary point of contact for regulators and supervisory authorities in mexico on regulatory communications, examinations, inspections, and ongoing supervisory engagement.

requirements:

• bachelor's degree with relevant work experience (e.g. preferably appointment as the compliance officer in mexico's financial isntitutions)

• minimum 7+ years of financial experience in the compliance, risk, aml/ctf or sanctions screening disciplines, including at least 2-3 years in compliance at a licensed payment institution.

• certified anti-money laundering specialist (“cams”) certification or equivalent is preferred

• experience in building and leading a team with a proven record of results

• able to work in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment
