Position Summary:
Welding connections, environmental plans and adjustments to pumping equipment following established guidelines and procedures, taking measurements during assembly and filling out the necessary records, with the goal of personal safety and that of coworkers.
Essential Responsibilities:




- Strictly following the assembly and welding procedure, verify according to the list of materials provided that each of the components matches the part number and material specified by Engineering. Any discrepancy must be reported to the supervisor.
- Properly fill out the logbook checklist sheet, which will include important data such as # of Casting, Series, Work Order, Type and Welding Code, among others, for the traceability of the equipment.
- Weld / Bend / Adjust / Adjust the components in the order described in the procedure, taking care of the integrity of the welder and the parts during the maneuvers.
- Submit the fully completed and signed checklist to document control when the equipment/part is sent to the next process
- Correctly use measuring instruments to verify the tolerances required in the assembly of the equipment
- Evaluate the operations to be performed and analyze the risks to have safe work days
- Maintain order and cleanliness in your work area at all times.
- Take care of and take responsibility for the assigned tools and/or equipment
- Clean, organize and store the tools/equipment/instruments used during your work day, leaving a clean work area according to the order and cleanliness standard
- Perform a safety observation per month and report it to the safety area.
- Report your full work time in the EPICOR system through a work order/production order
- Occasionally align finished equipment (Pump/Motor




- Complete the Welding checklist with all records duly filled out and signe
- Use TIG equipment to weld flanges, connections, supports, repairs and instruments, using the technical fundamentals of TIG welding (Current, Polarity, Electrode Type, Filler Material, Temperature, etc.)
- Use Coated Electrodes to weld flanges, connections, supports, repairs and instruments, using the technical fundamentals of SMAW welding (Current, Polarity, Electrode Type, Filler Material, Temperature, etc.)
- Take care of the condition of the tool / equipment / instruments assigned and those of the area.
- Clean, organize and store the tools / equipment / instruments used during the work day, leaving a clean work area according to the order and cleanliness standard (6S)
- Carry out a safety observation per month and propose an action to improve or solve the observation.
- Take care of your integrity and that of your colleagues when performing safe maneuvers with equipment of any size.
- At all times follow up on your assigned workload and report any doubt / anomaly / discrepancy to your immediate supervisor.
- Is responsible for handling the pump / Base / Environment Plans from the welding area to the assembly area, maintaining order at all times.
- Is responsible for the special materials of the orders that have been assigned to him / her, as an example (screws of special materials, seal accessories, or mechanical seals that will not be used for laboratory testing at the time) among others.
- Does not generate SCRAP for any component and / or handling of the equipment.
