The Quality Inspector (Facilities, Pipeline, Equipment and Materials) has a fundamental role within the construction projects of TC Energy, he must carry out management, assurance and quality control of the projects, he must guarantee compliance with the ITPs, construction procedures, drawings IFC, and project specifications. Knowledge and experience of the ISO ****, ISO ***** and ISO/OSHAS *****, standards, material/equipment reception inspection, such as pipes, fitting, valves, pressure vessels, metering skids, pig launchers/receivers (scraper traps), pumps, turbochargers, etc. is important.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute and follow up Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) including hold and witness points.
Perform field QA/QC inspections: civil, pipeline, coating, cathodic protection, mechanical and E&I.;
Inspect materials and equipment (pipes, fittings, valves, skids, pressure vessels, etc.).
Manage and close NCR / CAR / PAR / OFI with contractors and vendors.
Perform welding QC inspections and review/interpret NDT/NDE results (VT, MT, PT, RT, UT).
Conduct QA/QC walkdowns, generate punch lists, support construction testing and turnover dossiers.
Coordinate daily with cross‐functional teams and provide quality reporting.
Requirements:
Engineering degree or equivalent.
8+ years
of QA/QC experience in
Oil & Gas / Natural Gas pipelines and facilities
.
Strong hands‐on experience with
ITPs, audits, NCR management and quality systems
.
NDT Level II
certification (VT, MT, PT,
RT, UT – as applicable).
Knowledge of
ASTM, API, ASME, ISO, NACE/AMPP
and
Mexican regulations (ASEA / STPS)
.
Bilingual English & Spanish
(conversational or higher).
Availability for
site‐based / field work
.
Nice to have:
Experience with
materials and warehouse management
.
Additional quality or auditing certifications.
