O2C Sr Collection Specialist - US
The O2C Sr Collection Specialist is responsible for managing the Accounts Receivables for an assigned group of customers limiting past dues and maximizing cash.
Service Delivery:
- Executes collection activities using all available tools to ensure cash flow is maximized.
- Ensures accurate clean and correct customer accounts
- Identifies at risk customers and escalate according to guidelines if past dues are not collectible
- Manage complex return claims and deduction resolution process through collaboration with Customers, Reverse Logistics and other business areas for timely resolution
- Process and request timely paybacks for invalid/denied claims and ensure all assigned return claims and deductions are resolved within predefined timeframes
- Communicates proactively with stakeholders to ensure transparency and prevent operational issue
- Increases process efficiency and quality by continuous improvement and challenging the status quo
- Performs regular credit risk assessments to calculate the individual customer credit limit and risk classification with support of existing system solutions
- Performs the daily check of blocked orders and takes appropriate actions before releasing the orders
- Defines and executes actions to reduce past-due receivables in the assigned portfolio
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives related to O2C.
- Uses advanced Excel skills to compile, analyze, and report deduction, credit, and payment data within monthly and quarterly periods
Compliance
- Ensures all processes, policies, and procedures are clearly defined, fully documented, and consistently followed.
Education: (minimum/desirable) - Certified Finance/Accounting specialist or similar degree
Languages:
**Experience**:
- English: Advanced - Spanish and Portuguese: a plus +3 years of financial experience, with good functional expertise SAP knowledge - Project management exposure advantageous - Excellent communication skills - Advanced Excel and Outlook Experience with the US market is a plus
