POSITION SUMMARY
- Logistic Manager administers and supports day-to-day Logistics/traffic functions for the Monterrey HUB, interfacing between multiple departments to track and coordinate deliveries to customers and inbound material for production requirements.
- Maintains contact with customer service for shipping documentation, communicates with production regarding material in transit, troubleshoots issues directly with carriers on pick‑ups and deliveries at jobsites, and works directly with warehouse and shipping/receiving personnel to execute daily shipments and receipts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set performance goals for the department and establish action plans to meet them.
- Ensure storage and distribution activities are performed per safety regulations and policies to minimize the risk of employee injury and material damage.
- Oversee shipping operations to direct customers.
- Establish metrics and reports to measure and control on‑time delivery and inventory in transit.
- Ensure product shipments are compliant with customs regulations.
- Secure finished‑goods transportation and disposition.
- Coordinate material floor set‑up for initial runs and regular production.
- Maintain stock‑control systems, ensuring inventory accuracy through cycle counting.
- Review accuracy and competence of post‑deduct bins and routing.
- Coordinate Kan‑ban setups.
- Supervise warehouse and inventory analysis teams.
- Lead lean and cost‑saving projects related to space optimization, material storage, handling, and related initiatives.
- Generate regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Work closely with the Planning Manager or Master Scheduler in creating the production schedule.
- Coordinate with MRO buyers on logistics and customs needs for equipment, tooling, and other MRO goods provided to internal key customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Logistics Management, Purchasing/Operations Management, or Business Management (preferred).
- Master’s degree desirable.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience.

REQUIREMENTS
- Assure smooth relationships with ASCO’s daily preferred carriers and schedule various special transportation requests from the sales offices or customers.
- Coordinate address changes or delivery issues with carriers.
- Review proper invoicing procedures daily.
- Process all carrier freight claims.
- Update all freight claim files.
- Execute shipments with preferred carriers, scheduling outbound carriers per the company routing guide and Supply Chain Optimization portal.
- Maintain import compliance by storing documents per Emerson and U.S. Customs record‑retention policies.
- Maintain export compliance per the same guidelines.
- Retain all required documentation through the record‑retention process and troubleshoot any issues.
- Answer inquiries from customer service, sales offices, planning, and carriers regarding in‑transit material.
- Act as the point of contact for buyer/planners to locate shipments in transit and coordinate their delivery.
- Coordinate with designated freight forwarders to ship products timely and cost‑effectively.
- Provide International Sales and Logistics personnel with shipment information and documentation for customer visibility.
- Communicate accurately and promptly with customers, planners, and subsidiaries about shipments.
- Coordinate domestic outbound shipments quickly and completely.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and interact with personnel to accomplish tasks.
- Be action‑oriented, seeking opportunities and solving problems.
- Operate effectively in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Detail oriented and capable of completing tasks promptly.
- Have working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
