Job Description
The opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role at Hitachi Energy, where manufacturing excellence powers stronger, more resilient electrical grids. This role owns end‑to‑end production performance in a single‑phase transformer factory—combining safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost (SQDIC) into one clear mission: deliver reliable products on time with pride and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and control daily production activities to meet targets.
- Deliver performance across SQDIC: safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost.
- Balance staffing, equipment capacity, and material availability across shifts.
- Track and improve KPIs such as units per day, on‑time delivery, scrap, rework, and yield.
- Lead a strong EHS culture, including investigations and corrective actions.
- Partner with Quality/Test to reduce defects, improve first‑pass yield, and resolve nonconformances.
- Drive Lean initiatives—5S, standard work, visual management, Kaizen—to improve flow and productivity.
- Monitor and improve OEE while supporting cost reduction and budget goals.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures,
and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of progressive manufacturing experience.
- 2+ years in a people leadership role.
- Experience in transformer or electrical equipment manufacturing preferred (single‑phase oil‑filled or dry‑type highly valued).
- Working knowledge of production planning, capacity management, and ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong skills in problem solving, root cause analysis, Lean, and EHS practices.
