Key Responsibilities
- Implement and validate electrical and functional test systems for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
- Manage and maintain test stations at both PCBA and finished product levels.
- Provide technical support to production to resolve issues related to test equipment, software, and testing processes.
- Analyze failures detected during electrical and functional testing, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with customers and suppliers regarding the installation, upgrade, validation, and release of test hardware and software.
- Manage software revisions, test parameters, configurations, and system backups.
- Maintain version control and traceability of test programs.
- Manage and control Golden Units, Golden Samples, and reference devices used for test station validation.
- Execute validations for new product revisions, engineering changes (ECO/ECN), and test software updates.
- Perform correlation studies between test stations to ensure consistency and repeatability of results.
- Monitor and improve performance metrics related to First Pass Yield (FPY), Retest Rate, False Failures, and equipment availability.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance programs for test equipment.
- Ensure test equipment calibration is current and compliant when applicable.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, procedures, visual aids, and technical documentation.
- Train technicians and operators on the proper use of test systems.
- Participate in product transfers, process validations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Quality, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, and NPI teams to resolve issues and optimize processes.
- Participate in internal, external, and customer audits related to testing processes.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
- Experience with Functional Testing (FCT), PCBA electrical testing, and finished product testing.
- Experience supporting and validating automated test equipment.
- Experience in electronic failure analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Experience in medical, automotive, or high‑reliability electronics industries is preferred.
Technical Knowledge
- Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Analog and digital electronics.
- Proficiency in the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and laboratory equipment.
- Functional Test (FCT) systems and automated electrical testing.
- Electronic troubleshooting and repair.
- Test software and hardware administration.
- Database management and test result data collection systems.
- Problem‑solving methodologies (5 Why, Ishikawa, 8D).
- PFMEA, Control Plans, and risk analysis.
- SMT processes, electronic assembly, and PCBA manufacturing.
- Interpretation of customer specifications.
- Knowledge of IPC‑A‑610.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality systems (preferred).
- Technical English proficiency for documentation review and customer communication.
