The APIs Tech Lead is a seasoned professional role.
Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function.
Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business.
Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.
Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources.
**Responsibilities**:
- Create solution architecture artifact that are consistent with architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices with a goal of resilient and scalable cloud-based solutions.
- Design common business functions and capabilities within the Trade ecosystem to simplify technology footprint and faster time to market.
- Understand and prioritize organizational initiatives.
- Continuously assess development processes, test plans, and operations.
- Own the definition and execution of architectural governance process.
- Works closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Systems Analysts to determine and document Systems impacts and support requirements.
- Partners with multiple technology areas and management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.




Recognize discordant views and take part in constructive dialog to resolve them.
- Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts; allocates work.
- Acts as an advisor and mentor to team members to grow solution architecture skills.
- Work across teams to optimize processes.
- Work with teams to improve concurrent project delivery.

- Responsible for the continuous technological improvement initiatives of the systems for which is responsible.
- Identifies risks, vulnerabilities and security issues; communicates impact; proposes risk mitigation options.
- Capable of research in root cause of development and performance concerns as well as the resolution of defects.
- Regularly review metrics and proactively seek out new and improved mechanisms for visibility ensuring your program stays aligned with organization objectives.
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
- Interfaces with vendors to assess their technology and to guide their product roadmap based on Banamex requirements.
- Supports vendor teams, conducting reviews of code and BAU releases.
**Qualifications**:
- Banking/Financial/Trade/Payment experience.
- 6+ years of relevant experience.
- 4+ years as Tech Lead.
- Expertise in developing architecture vision and strategic solutions.
- Practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills.




- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; Data driven and results-oriented.
- Expertise in building solutions with domain driven design (DDD), API, microservices, Openshift, Apigee, event-driven architecture and cloud native principles
- Expertise working or leading requirement gathering efforts for multiple large development projects at one-time.
- Expertise leading infrastructure programs
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills and relationship building skills.
- Skilled at working with third party service providers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
- Experience delivering with Agile and Kanban Framework.
**Education**:
Bachelor's or master's degree with a STEM focus (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
- Bachelor's degree/University degree.
- Intermediate-Advance level of English
